No grinder? A file…
Then again extra large paper clips, straightened, with a bent “handle”, and the tip sharpened a bit, work great as well.
That is a zero cost, no muss, no fuss idea that will last you as long as you have a plugged cigar...I've made several out of wire coat hangers: cut about 8" of straight wire from an elbow and about 6" of the wire that goes to the hook, giving you one piece of wire with two straight sides and a bend of about 30 degrees. Bend the top 6" part to create two finger holes. File the tip of the other longer part to create a sharp point, and then use the edge of the file to make a few nicks every inch or so from the tip. Voila!
As for the extra large paper clip, I keep one in my wallet and use it whenever I have a plugged cigar. Just straighten a couple of sides to make a 3.5" long punch, with the remaining bent part serving as a grip/handle...
