Pretty simple solution...
Fire grazers , Inc. has 300 goats that graze & eat all kinds of dead or living plants...who move around to needed areas in Glendale, CA...
Sounds like a awesomely simple solution to a big problem...
A natural solution...age old history of goat grazing precludes this business model...
Kudos to fire grazers, Inc...
Those MAUI , Hawaii wild fires are such a product of global warming it is scarey...
Say what you want...the climate is changing...a lot...and human activities are ,prolly 80%-90% of the reason...could also be historical global changes we know nothing about in cahoots with human pollution in the last 150 yrs ..
Not sure the scientists would agree with you on this one, Jonesie.

Quote:"Blaming this on weather and climate is misleading," said Clay Trauernicht, a University of Hawaii at Manoa professor and environmental management expert. "Hawai'i's fire problem is due to the vast areas of unmanaged, nonnative grasslands from decades of declining agriculture."
"These savannas now cover about a million acres across the main Hawaiian Islands, mostly the legacy of land clearing for plantation agriculture and ranching in the late 1800s/early 1900s," he continued. "The transformation to savanna makes the landscape way more sensitive to bad 'fire weather' - hot, dry, windy conditions. It also means we get huge buildups of fuels during rainy periods."
