Thanks Robert, every time I checked Honda leasing specials always had #3,399 or similar down. My mom used to work for a Honda dealership and we have used the very same salesman for like 15 years and I used to be friendly with the head finance guy- who we only worked with, too.
They taught me "The Honda Lease Game"- New Accords only depreciate 2k the first year and 1k each year thereafter. Often they are worth more than the buyout after 2-2.5 years.
Also works for high-end pilots and CRV. Don't know about civic.
Salesman is always looking to put me into a nicer model or newer model- with my payments remaining the same or lower. For example, when the Accord Sport Special Edition came out he told me it was going to very limited and there ore worth more money, but had the same purchase price of the next model down.
You just need to watch out for a factory offer deal on the dealership's website every week or two until what you want is on sale at the right time of month and/or year and price. Also, I only lease at the end of the model year for that year's model during the fall when the next year's model is out and they are "dumping" the old year model.
We used to drive the big Volvo sedans and had several. Same thing with them.
If you are looking for a new Honda and want my help, LMK.
