Watching in real time:

Plea deal knocked felony down to misdemeanor.
Suspended jail sentence in lieu of jail.
She has must testify truthfully in future trials.
...
Totally unexpected. Could be a major blow to some in other cases.
My prediction is the next rat to jump ship is Giuliani

Sidney Powell Accepts Plea Deal in Trump’s Georgia Case
Former Trump legal adviser helped direct efforts in Georgia to investigate election results

WSJ

Sidney Powell, a former Trump legal adviser, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges Thursday in exchange for a sentence that means no jail time, agreeing to testify for the prosecution in the sweeping Georgia racketeering case against former President Donald Trump and more than a dozen other defendants.

So, one of Trump's legal advisors...whom was on retainer...and advised him legally plead guilty.

Sounds like Trump followed the advise of a bad lawyer. How is this harmful to him again?

Plan "B." huh?

If he attacks her then attorney-client privilege is waived and she can repeat every conversation he had with her. Also, she may have documents and other evidence in the form of contemporaneous notes from meetings about who said what to whom. That would be admissible. They only need testimony that he "knew or should have known" he lost the election and he loses. That's it.

On the other hand, I think she is a whack-job.

That was purely a discussion of forms of admissible evidence and what needs to be proven for a Trump conviction (and a minor side-comment of my opinion of her as a lawyer).

I do not believe and may not believe anything that has/will come out of her mouth- except for her guilty plea on TV today.

Two privileges may apply:

1. Attorney-Client Privilege- Trump will waive it if he attacks her and she needs to crow to defend herself. SOP for this rarely applicable exception to the privilege.

2. Executive Privilege- does not apply to an election challenge by a candidate as that is outside the scope of the presidency.

And then, there will be other things people said that is not protected by any privilege for various reasons that will be used against Trump and others.
