Hey fellow forum friends. I’m new to this site and group. I’m very savvy in everything I touch and need a mentor to help me here. I’m also offering a tip to any respected 5-Star vets on the forum that can help me.

My name is Chip and I am a web architect by trade

My wife and I also have a very successful eBay storefront
But are new to cigar trades/selling.

Current issue
I currently have in hand an unopened(sealed cellophane)box of Camacho Monarcas from 1996 that I want to start with immediately.

I have immediately on standby 8 more ultra rare misc unopened boxes queued up for processing once success is achieved with the first box.

Immediate questions are:
1/is it better to do by box or should I open it and do individuals?
2/any other tips to navigate being successful on this platform.

PM me to discuss details.

Chip, good luck on your site but I’mma 98.2% sure that this post is in violation of the CBid Terms and Conditions.

Might suggest you edit out the eBay URL and tell people to PM you if they’re interested in buying some HTF smokes.

Edit: Oops, didn’t see DMV’s post so I’mma just being redundant.

What he^^ said.
And, be prepared to send first and get paid after delivery, because for now, you have zero credibility here.

Maybe look around this Forum a bit, figure out how things work, and go from there.

-I cleaned up my post, I didn’t fully read as I was multitasking and in a rush that day. I do comprehend now and apologize for the slip up
-I’m ready to open the box and start sending them out. PM me (I think the underlying advice is to do individuals rather than all at once)

The proof is in the pudding. Let me show and prove or like a wise man once said “Walk it, like I talk it”

Thank you forum OG’s for the immediate tips.

Gone? Think

Newbies who’s sole purpose is to sell or trade stuff don’t last very long. Not talking

He PM’d me and said he was asking $600(!) for the Monarcas but would sell them for $400. Told him that was w-a-y too rich for my blood so he asked me what was my price. He really wanted to establish good trade cred so was willing to take less. Replied back that Holt’s had a clearance sale on stock that they claimed they found in a back corner of their warehouse so at most the Monarcas sold for $75 a box. Given the 1996 crop year (…same as the boxes I have…), his box was probably from the same sale. Used compounded 5% plus MFR and offered $135. He never opened my PM. Gonz

Holy CARP! Unintended competitor reference! I’mma franking nOOb, whatcha expect? Brick wall

My guess is that OP / Chris is not a cigar smoker (…or at least not a very knowledgeable one…) and was trying to make a buck after getting HAD by someone who bought them on the clearance sale. I’mma sure when he didn’t get flooded with PMs about his stuff he moved on to another site.

All of the boxes I’ve opened up from the clearance sale were 1996 crop year so I kinda assumed that his 1996 Monarcas were from the same batch / sale. Purdy sure he had no clue about the sale price.

Nonetheless, he’s gone and 98.2% sure he won’t be back or missed.

p.s. - I noticed those old Corojo Camachos are starting to lose their zest so I suggest smoking them sooner rather than later. Of course ymmv.

Well heck it’s actually been a while since I smoked one (I finished off one box quite a while back)
Sounds like a plan, gonna pop one open this weekend.
