Heard an interview with Pauly talking about this.

He said his people reached out to Simmons people and they told him absolutely not, please respect our privacy as Richard is dying and does not want any media attention.

Shore said I'm gonna do it anyway.

Fuggin jackhole. I don't particularly care for either of them, but I think if done tastefully shore's goofy ass could match Simmons character but in these circumstances that's just a d!ck move.

Richard is not dying of any illness, just lives the life of a recluse.Richard also doesn’t have any “people” anymore, no agent, no publicist and no assistant. And supposedly Richard is now ok with Pauly doing this project.

“Decades after rising to fame through his exercise videos and gyms, Simmons sought a life away from the spotlight about 10 years ago. These days, he doesn’t have a manager or publicist, and tries “to live a quiet life and be peaceful,” according to his Facebook post.”

I follow Pauly Shore on social media as I've found him funny as hell ever since Encino Man.

He's been pretty open about doing this project since Covid. I've watched the trailer...He could...wait for it...get an Oscar nomination for this if it holds all the way through.
