The place that has tiny batches of cigars has the CAO Amazon Basin 5ers for about $72 if anyone is looking. I picked one up myself and am really curious how I will like it.
How long would you recommend resting before trying one? I figure at least 2-3 weeks.

Based on my experiences with the last two releases of them, rest as long as you can.

Yeah it's steep. I broke down I grabbed a few of last years release and liked them enough to spring for a box. But I came in at around $10 per on the box with a 30% from the mothership. I won't be buying this year though.

Yup this one hurt.. I fought the battle of Opus availability and when I saw these I jumped.
I don’t even smoke the few CAOs I have in my humidor from years ago and here I am dropping $$ on them only because I heard they were the flavor of the month.
Sad.

I waited a year into these releases to see what the hype by BOTL that I wouldn’t take advise from were creating.

My advice would be let them rest forever in someone else’s humidor.

^ yeah but did you try them? Just because they are popular doesnt necessarily mean they are worthless.

Last years release didn’t seem as good as the ones in years past. They were available at local B&Ms for some about half the year. That being said still a quality smoke. I’ll wait for local B&M stock and try one.

Yeah I got one at my local shpo, and yes I did smoke it.

When I can get a CLE 20 Years for the same price….or an LFD La Nox for less or 💩 even an AF KingT Rosado tubo…..hard pass.

If you love em, I say good for you I’m helping the supply side of your demand.

ohh yeah and smoking through the pigtail like rings is fun too! Only say this because one guy at the lounge was trying to tear them off like they were a band!
