I just ordered some Perdomo Reserve Rosados 5"X54. They sure are a pretty cigar.
Any reviews?

Excellent cigar.........I have a box in my humidor that have been aging for months now. Very well made with a nice dark Rosado wrapper, excellent burn, it starts off with a slight choclate taste but ends with a core of nuttiness with some earth tones to it. Great draw and produces good smoke. You will be impressed.

I love this smoke. Definitely a top shelf cigar. Great flavor (mildly chocolate and nutty) with a short finish. I just finished the last of a box of the #3's this past weekend. My only complaint is they're finished too quick. Not that they burn fast, just that they are short. I have a box of the X size that I'm soon going to break the seal on.

I have the "X"s, and the are pure smoking pleasure. You shall not be disappointed.

I've still got some of the "A" size left. Perdomo makes an excellent cigar. Even this 9 x 46 beauty has a perfect draw. I read an interview with him @ cigarweekly that was pretty interesting. He said that they are going to up-the-octane on the Dos Rios line. That should mean that we'll see the current blend going for a discount.

Great cigars, but I prefer the " X "'s. Very attractive, oily wrappers with a fantastic draw. Arguably the best cigar for their price, period. I actually prefer the rosado over the maduro, but just slightly. CA rated the maduro higher, but does anyone else feel the same as I do on this Farrah Fawcett vs. Kim Bassinger type discussion?

Re: Farrah Fawcett vs. Kim Bassinger

Now that science has returned to this board, I can only suggest trying each in tandem (or perhaps occasionally together, for purely experimental purposes) Alternate them at different times of the day and night. See how they interact with fine dining, conversation, outdoor activities, and sports - and how they age.

As with fine cigars, keep them locked up in a climate-controlled wooden box and keep your friends' grubby fingers off your stash (a true friend asks before helping himself), keep the box where your wife won't be confronted with it - and never, ever let her know how much time, money and pleasure are involved in your new hobby.

Also as with cigars, there may be mild health effects, but afficianados agree that the pleasures are worth it. A reminder to all readers that, in the event that these two suck the life out of you (or any other unfortunate debilitating outcome), the proper etiquette is to pass them (and your humidor) on to the other CB'ers, so that the art may continue to advance. We will, of course, disburse them fairly and equitably...

..assuming, of course, that you send them to me first. This is a very important detail. Do not forget.

The first person to make a crack about a 'box pass' will be held solely (and painfully) responsible for the consequences

I prefer the "X" in Maduro. The finest cigar I've yet to smoke. Hands down.

I really liked the Perdomo blend that I have smoked. I’m bidding on the current (FEB ‘24) Perdomo CB promotion. They have a lot of them so I hope they go cheap. I haven’t tried any Mads from Perdomo. The brand appears to be popular and carries respect from guys who’ve been smoking for awhile.

Jake, I’ve won a fiver of the Perdomo 20th Anniversary Maduro Gordos but it won’t be in the mail until next Tuesday which is the day they mail out the bomb every week. I haven’t tried the 10th Anniversary of won any bids yet. Pretty soon I’m gonna have to throw a cover over some of these storage boxes and disguise them as end tables or something. I’ve got a ton of cigars that I’ve never tried just resting quietly. I’ve got problems, eh?
