I normally don’t either but was so full from lunch, popcorn and boiled peanuts that I really didn’t want to move from my chair. Hopefully I’ll be hungry again when dinner time rolls around.

Hi Palama!

What up Matt?!?!

You gonna hang out at both sites too?

Btw, in some threads we keep count of what we smoke and / or drink.

Why?

Yes sir! I figured it was time to try getting smokes cheaper for once in my life. Ha!
If we're keeping count of beers I would be embarrassed to say how many of those Ultra's I had. LOL LOL

I talked to Jake and he tried to explain this to me and I'm still confused.
How many cigars I've smoked since joining the forum as well as number of beers I've had?

Didja drink them straight from the can? I find pouring the beer into a cup helps cut out (…or at least lessens…) any metallic taste.

the cans are lined, as I was told on a brewery tour many moons ago, so if there is a metallic "taste" when drinking from a can it's really the nose smelling the metal from the top of the can.

Same tour master said to pour beer into a glass with a wide enough opening to get your nose in so the aroma will enhance the flavor of the beer.

Also, pour down the middle to create the foamy head allowing some carbonation to escape and making the drinking smoother on the throat...and only pour as much as it takes to finish that amount as the head is disappearing.

If "beer clean" the foam should lace the sides of the glass.

none of which means I never drink from a can. Of course I do. Bottles too.
But if the situation allows, I actually do prefer the method I learned that day.

You're like a GENIUS!

But makes total sense (...kinda pun intended...). Mebbe, iffin' and when I drink from a can, I'll hold the can away from my mouth and nose and just pour the beer straight down. Assuming, of course, that I remember to do that....

And yah, I almost always pour down the middle but hadn't heard the 2nd part about re-pours. Thanks!
