The Aging Room caught my eye. I’m not seeing a lot of praise for that brand from you FOGs. I look at it this way - if i love the Aging Room now and there is a lot of brands that i will like better than AR, then I’ve got a lot to look forward to. Having said that, I’ve got an unopened box of Quattro I purchased in December’23 and I intend to age them. So I’ll probably hold off on buying that blend but I’m thinking about buying a box of a different blend if they offer something. I’m still learning about cigar tobacco and I have no problem admitting that I’m a noob in this subject.

I only posted because it was my first visit to this box bid fest page.
The prices are beyond dumb…
Edit
Well, upon further examination, they aren’t that dumb after all……………I’m just out of touch with this place lately…

Right on, King. I’m actually finding fewer things I want to bid on here. I’ve bought a lot of different brands and blends trying to learn about tobacco and having fun figuring out what I like. I’ve got a ton of stuff waiting that I haven’t tried yet. I’ve been sniping fivers from the small place recently because their selection is different.

Those prices on a discount cigar auction site are laughable at best. They only make sense because of the overinflated pricing at the mothership.

Every one of those boxes I could match or beat the price from a host of retailers. Might need readily available coupons for some but I'm with you kotc. I haven't shopped here in years and haven't even looked around since the MAP stuff hit.

Wow, if you can get better prices retail the taxes would not burn so much. They’re much more expensive at the retailers I’ve seen here in Texas.

I'm not talking b&m, online retailers. B&M is dead to me, there's only one shpo left in my area and they're a bar and lounge. Last time I went there a LP9 was $24. That was probably 2016-17. Can't imagine what they are now.

I said retailer to differentiate between store and auction site not online vs shpo

I’ve been saying this for a while. The selection here is as bland and repetitive as can be.
If your into replenishing your stock of Perdomos or Rockys then yeah this is just fine. But stepping outside of the box is impossible with the limited choices here.
🤷‍♂️

Not sure of this fest you speak of, but after an eight year hiatus I just won a bid on a box of 20 cigars for $2.25 per.

EDIT: I hope they are as good as they were the last time I won a box.

I can happily say I’ve never bought a Gurkha in my life.

BTW, I said $2.25 per. I didn’t think there was a Gurkha on this site that sold for more than $0.05 each.

Jake, those are "internet" cigars, totally sub-par quality. The factory takes Thursdays and lets the usuall rollers have a break and all the apprentices come in and roll the crappy tobacco, which they then sell on CBid, etc. Enjoy.

They probably will get the job done any day of the week. I’m not familiar with those. Maybe I’ll try them out
