In 1911 the model 1911 designed by the boomers Lord and Savior John Moses Browning, was officially adopted as the Army’s standard sidearm.

It then went on to win 2 world wars all by itself.

If you own one, honor the greatest Mormon by buying it a nice box of freedom seeds and saying two “Hail Murica’s”

If you don’t own one I question your life decisions.

All joking aside, it was a great design and the barrel locking system was copied in many successful pistols.

I like target shooting them, but sold mine after a Beretta PX4 in .45 ACP, a much better pistol for me.

Browning's M2 .50 caliber machine gun is still in very common use today.
