Just picked up a few Mayorga Toro's on CI and wanted to get some feedback in anticipation of my smiley face box arriving in a few days. They are rated high 80's and even a 90 at CA. Any fans or naysayers out there?

Number me with the naysayers. These don't burn well and I don't care for the taste. On the other hand, the Mayorga High Octane maduro is one of my favorites. Far superior to the regular line.

Did you get nats or maduros? I like both but prefer the maduros.

I like them ... and I'm not the only one. In August, while on vacation in the Rockies, I lit a Mayorga toro one morning as I sat on the little deck behind our cabin ... within minutes two moose wandered to within 25 feet of us and grazed happily, letting me take their pics until my Mayorga was nubbed ... then they wandered off ... I dunno ... maybe it was coincidence or maybe moose like Mayorga too ...

If after getting those toros, you find you just don't like 'em, drop a note ... the moose and I like 'em ... I'm sure we could work something out

Steve, they thought you were gonna start a forest fire. They were specially trained by the forestry service to stomp out bad smelling fires. They figured you had the situation under control so they stayed back. You were promptly reported in their daily log book. Didn't you notice their badge?

Mayorgas are good. I do not prefer the square shape.

GYO ... reminds me of an old joke ...

Q: "Do you know why ducks have flat feet??"
A: "From stomping out forest fires"

Q: "Do you know why elephants have flat feet?"
A: "From stomping out burning ducks"

OK, OK ... I didn't say it was a FUNNY old joke did I?

I traded all my Mayorgas away; didn't care for the dirt taste despite them having over 6 months humi-time on them; haven't tried the high octane though there is one asleep in the bottom of the 'dor. Maybe it's time to wake it up...

Yeah, you sent em all to me. Taste is subjective, I like em.

The Mayorga torpedoes (Natural) were the ones that made me dive into the deep end of the cigar pool... Wound up buying a box for $75 from my tobaccanist up the street (I know, I know... but I was younger and dumber, but now I'm... well, okay, just older.)

Just won a box of maduro robustos, too, can't wait to get 'em.

as bikenic says:
If your cab is loose, you must have left it in the trunk too long.
