Anyone have any good reliable cigar lighters to suggest? I prefer the blue flame butane lighters. Have gone thru so many that have either needed frequent repair due to unclogging etc,( Colibri's), or just plainly don't work any more. I've tried cleaning them by air blasting and unclogging by bleeding them...most still die after a while. Are there any reliable cigar lighters that will continue to work for years, or do all of them have a limited half-life?

If you want a good lighter bid on one of the micro torches in merchandise. I have had one for two years and the darn thing works great.

I've heard that Prometheus is one of the better lines, much better than Colibri..I'm also looking for another reliable lighter..A cheapie triple flame lighter I bought for under ten bucks about three weeks ago just bit the dust on me...!@#$?!

I over-ordered some lighters. They seem to be pretty good....1 triple flame and 1 torch type. Tell you what...I'll put your thread on an appropriate place and trade you two of these for a few decent cigars.

Get any of the cheap Blazer 'knock-offs' ... they auction them here in 2-packs. Great lighters, and when it stops working ... just toss it!

BTW ... it funny, but I heard just the opposite of what Keith heard, that the Colibri is much better than the Prometheus line. But, that was over at CF ... and what do those people know, hehehe!

Go figure ... but I have several Colibri's that I've had for quite awhile, and they haven't failed me yet. One is the Trifecta ...

I've been through about a dozen of the 'cheapies' that I've won here at auction though!

The finest lighter I've ever owned is the Ill Corona Old Boy. Has never failed to light and is a gorgeous piece of work.

My everyday torch is a Prometheus. Aside from needing the occassional cleanig with canned air, it has performed well.
