Hey folks, I just finished a Cupido Criollo Campana that I won a few days ago... WOW! I was sure sad to see that one finish. I didn't see much in the archives about this cigar... what say you?

BTW... while browsing the archives I saw the threads re: rookie139 being an organ donor. If I may say so, well done, sir! I'm an organ recipient myself (got a heart transplant in '94.) Speaking for all us recipients (even if they don't smoke cigars... or... worse yet... smoke Lone Wolf!) I want to extend my deepest appreciation. I hope you and your dad's recovery is going well.

Rookie139.....There's nothing greater than love for family. I envy your selflessness and your courage. Take care.

You're the one with the courage bro...Anyone who is willing to stick their neck on the line for me and my family by serving in the armed forces is first rate in my book!

BTW, sherlock, while I was going through tests, I met a man about 45 years old...I learned that his father donated a kidney to HIM when he was ten years old...His father's kidney lasted (get this) 35 years!
Interesting thing is that his father passed away several years ago and the kidney (which JUST started to fail after all this time and he was about to receive a cadaver kidney) was 85 years old!...Amazing

That really is amazing! My heart is about 12 years older than the rest of me, I hope I have as much luck as your friend.

"or... worse yet... smoke Lone Wolf!"

Hey now! I officially take offense to this comment, and those like it, as of 10/19/02! Take it back!

Don't bid on Campanas. They are terrible. I should know, I have won about 90 of them in the last several months.

The cupido criollos are, I think, an aqquired taste. They are pretty strong initially. Some humi time mellows them. If you don't like them now though, you will probably not like them later.

Speaking as one who's acquired a taste for them, I can assure you that they're pretty tame stuff compared with that new Hoja de Nicaragua Antano ...

It's true that humi time is good for them ... of course, it's good for all the cigars I've ever had ... assuming, of course, they had any redeeming qualities whatever ... dog rockets do become less objectionable with humi time ... NOT say UN objectionable ... just less objectionable ... no matter how great an effort you make, you can't make an Opus out of a dog-rocket,
