I need to get my college friend a gift of Cigars. He is not a regular cigar smoker. He has smoked some Acids, Swisers, ect. But nothing really good. So i want to get him some cigars he would like... If possible a sampler for around $10-20. What's you suggestion?

Get him a 4-pack of Padron 2000s for ~$20 or several Macanudos. you can't go wrong with them.

check on what's available here, but in the event you don't find something you want, try the link below ... it's a little more than you'd hoped to spend, but it's a KILLER deal ... I'd highly recommend it

no offense Steve, but I have to strongly disagree. Indian Tabac's, other than the super fuerte, imho, suck badly. The brazilias are great, but Jim's suggestion of the Padrons, for an inexperienced smoker, is probably right on the money...no pun intended

I'll agree too that Jim's suggestion is a good one ... it's also more in line with the desired budget ...

As for the Indian Tabacs ... I like 'em ...

I agree with Steve. The Indian Tabac Gorillas are a good smoke.

I agree with none of you.

They have the Fonseca sampler and a few others that come with a cigar caddy type thing in your price range R&R.

When i get cigars I would rather get different kinds.

Buy a 5-back of Lone Wolf... take the bands off..and tell him they are Cubans. Since he's new to smoking he won't know the difference. Then let him know you have a connection and that you can get him those same "cubans" for $10 apiece. Make sure they're a larger size like a churchhill. This way it'll take him a good hour and a half to go outside and smoke one... just enough time for you to sneak inside and nail his girlfriend.

Eze! That's the best advice yet! Say did you borrow my household copy of the Manly Manual? Somebody swiped it and I want it back!

Another good one would be the Mad Dog Sampler, with 8 Torano Signature Toros and a travel humido to keep them in. Available here or the Cigars International website.

Sorry..don't have it. The only texts I indulge in are cigar catalogs, lesbian wrestling mags, and Rosie.

Forget the cigars. Buy him a humi. Turn him on to the CBid site and he'll feel compelled to fill it up. Coach him on what's good to smoke and you'll almost always get invited to burn one with him. Much better ROI.

ROFL on the eze reply.
Seriously R&R, since your friend is new to good cigars, buy him a 5 pack sampler with a traveldor or small humidor so that he or she doesn't ruin them, unless he's like me and smokes all 5 of them the same day.
