I'm a long time Redskins fan and would normally relish something like one of the Plowboyz getting a nice fine but this one is just wrong. I'm sorry to hear that Jackson had a seizure as a result of the hit but that's the nature of the game. If it wasn't for the seizue, I doubt that there would even be a fine. Hits like that are one of the reasons that I watch.

Yeah, on NFL tonight it was pointed out that hitting is part of the game. Sean Salisbury (I think) said we need better equipment. Not lighter hits.

maybe there is something wrong with me...(ok there is)
when I saw the hit, I loved it ( hated the injury part) but hits like that are becoming rare. that is football, rough tough mean, if you can't dish it out or take it, stay off the field. the fine and the amount of the fine is criminal. and I am not a fan of the idiot from arkansas or the stupid coach, or what used to be americas team. just can't understand all this new rule stuff about not hitting in a contact sport.

i propose helmets with spikes. when you stick him, he should stay stuck. perhaps a little curare on the spike in case the trainer can stop the bleeding and try to send the stuckee back into the game.

i had not realized this game was designed to injure someone. i thought that's what hockey was all about.

hey, do you think this was a problem back when they didn't have face masks ? or did they just smash their nose into someones face ? is that where they got the term "in your face"

No the term "In Your Face" seems to come from the other sport that has such high upstanding citizens playing and making multiple millions, the NBA!!!

A Slam dunk when the ball almost/beheads or knocks somebody out (as in a Shaq slam) was where the term orginated, taken into the NFL via "Trash Talk" and now is much a part of street lore, as practiced by our Urban Hoods! May not be exactly correct, but I am sure the basis is in there.............!!!

At this rate the F in NFL is going to mean flag as in flag football. If they don't want to get hurt then take up ballet with the rest of the girls.
