I need some reviews on this cigar. I'm thinking about buying a box of the Robustos. I've heard good things.
Cigars International has great prices on the Maduro line.

one of the best maduros for the money. You should be demoted for even having to ask. This cigar is mentioned every other thread. Nice box press, pretty oily, wonderful, nutty smell and taste. A little short/harsh on finish but flavor is awesome. Nicaraguan smoke, yellow label white border.

oh, if you pay any more than $40 a box, you paid too much.

The BEST cheap smoke available with the big price taste. Beautiful dark oily wrapper and perfect box press! I have smoked the Gordita and Toro and have yet to be disappointed. Get you some and see what the hype is about.

Ditto on what wanyburger and mtsheron said...Great smokes but somewhat harsh (but still tasty) on the finish.

Just finished smoking a Mayorga robusto about 30 minutes ago. Great smoke, bought a box, will buy more. You can't beat the price for these awesome sticks. I find about half of them finish harsh, the other finish fine. Can still taste mine though..

I like these better than the Perdomo Reserve. You can smoke these right out of the box, I find the Perdomo Reserves to be a bit green.

Very good value for the money. I prefer the maduros in the robusto size or larger. The Mayorga corona is a bit lacking but still decent.

I ran out today and bought a few Mayorga Maduros. I'm having mixed feelings about them. I noticed a very slight grassy aftertaste. They both burned unevenly. For a couple of bucks each, they are definitely worth the price. I think I'll pass on buying a box of them though.

I agree with your review. These cheap cigars are good for the money, have some good flavor but are held back by burn, inconsistency, and some green tobacco in some. I bought a box and smoked about 5 and now they sit. If you want a good new maduro find yourself some Estavan Cruz Maduro's. Now they are good/great.

jcrimmins,

i wouldn't pass on buying a box of these. Mayorga Maduro's are about the best cigar for the money on the market today. There have been many a thread on these as of late and many agree that they may be shipped rather wet and/or young. Most folks have said to let these babies sit out in the open air at least a day or so to let the pent up humidity escape. Let them rest in the humi for a few weeks because they just keep getting better and better.

Several places have these on sale right now for about $34.99 a box. You just have to look around. I wouldn't pay more than $40.00 a box for them.
