OK gang, time for some thoughts and mindsearching! If a genie told you that you could have one car of your choice, make model, etc....What would it be? This is paid for and it is yours, color of your choice, maybe a car that belonged to someone of fame or shame...example-Elvis Presley's 1957 Pink Cadilac Eldorado Convertible or the car Bonnie and Clyde were ambushed in or maybe the very first Chevy Corvette off the assembly line.....

You think it over and enter your choices! And would you smoke cigars in this dream car? I would!

Red 67 corvette convertable with the 427. I am not too sure about cigars in a ragtop so for smoking I would like a 59 Cadillac Coupe de Ville. Red on red. Failing that, a 57 Plymouth Sport Fury with the dual quad V8. Also red.

Oops, no cigars in the Cuda. Too nervous! I'd stand outside the car and drool over it while I smoke.

Hell, why not fuel, auto insurance and upkeep provided by the genie!!! My choices of car would be something with lots of fins and chrome, like a cherry 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible-Red and white or a 1955 Cad Conv Broghmn with big fins in all white, white leather seats and all! Also like the 56 Buick Century Convertible in Blue and White!

I'm with Danno on this one. I have a couple of exceptions...Color - Plum Crazy with the racing stripe package, Interior - White Leather. Hemi anyday.

No smoking within 50' of the car. With an intake like this I don't need the risk of some fool and a smoke!

Lamborghini Diablo, or the Ferrari F-50
Unfortunstely, the Ferrari isn't legal in the US because of emissions, so that'll never happen!

Thanks rook, I absolutely love that car, the perfect balance between a daily driver, and a balls to the wall sports car!

For some reason I don't like the diablo though, I have nothing against Lamborghini, I just prefer more smooth lines rather than sharp angles.

I love Italian engines, so much attention to horsepower while conserving size and weight, just how I like my women as well....

damn, if I'd only known ... I could'a had the white one painted forest green and let you have it for the cost of the paint job ... you're just a tad too late, though ... it's been gone since '89 after my 3rd kid had used it and got an upgrade ...

Saleen Mustang. At least it is something I can possibly afford after the kids get out of college. (Unfortunately, I have to get them through elementary school first).

By then we will be drooling over the new hydrogen fuel hybrid or something.

Reality says I will wish for a nice Suburban or Expedition with a DVD video player in the back and a lot of cup holders.

lol @ rayder1 ... he's got the same practical mindset I've got, giving a rather realistic possibility instead of a strict fantasy ...

Actually, the query was worded "If you could have any ONE car!!!!!!!" (emphasis mine) ... I might well have responded with something more exotic had I not been practical enough to realize that a Z3, a 'vette,
a Ferrari, Mazzeratti or a restored beauty from the past such as a HemiCuda is quite restrictive if it is the ONLY vehicle one owns ... actually, I worked for a Chrysler dealership from 69-71 and HAD a Cuda demo assigned to me ... I had 3 small kids at the time who used to stand on the floor in the back seat so they could see out and sing the song from Speed Racer as they urged me to drive "faster!!!" ... lol ... so, I know from experience how impractical a "dream car" can be if it's your only vehicle.

Had the question been worded to ask what dream vehicle you might add to an existing fleet, I, like Rayder, would've been a little less practical ... but Rayder, I'm with you pal ... I've test-driven the Lexus and know what a sweet ride it is ... so, in my case, the answer to the question is a vehicle I am quite likely to actually own, not just dream about.

My neighbor had a black Lamborghini Countache 25th Anniversary which was pretty nice. It felt like you were floating just above the ground when you drove in it. Then he got a red Viper. I think that would be my "all-time" dream car, but I know I would never pass the application process with my driving record. Oh well.

Live to dream...

Trip down memory lane with the 442, spiney. Mine was orange with white racing stripes and alloy wheels with the same orange color, white interior. Man I loved that car! Almost bought the same one about 10 yrs ago. Maybe some day!
