During the time between my one of my very first successful bids on the board, a five pack of ???, and their arrival the following week, I would've told you my best ever deal was a five pack I bid $1 on about a minute after it opened and then wasn't outbid ... within hours of their arrival, I no longer thought of it as a good deal ... since that time, I've had any number of successful bids that were pleasingly low but I think the real answer is that I'm an eternal optimist and think my best deal is yet to come ...

beauty, as they say, is in the eye of the beholder ... after reading grandpatex's response, I took a quick spin through the auctions today ... at 12:02pm EDT, I was able to identify no fewer than 20 lots of cigars that are of serious interest to me where the current bids are at levels I'd consider extremely favorable ...

ACID tin for $25 and a Natural tin for $22. Both on the same day. Very lucky on the ACID. But, they are both on the last cigar and I need more.

well, i can't say it's the absolute BEST deal i ever got here, but a steal none the less. I just got (along with a handful of other bidders) a box of 25 of the 5 Vegas Double Corona for $25. For a buck a stick, ya, I'll take it. a good everyday stick. I've tried the torpedos, they were good. Tried the coronas, and although that ring size is a bit pequeno for me, the smoke was surprisingly good. Much better in flavor than the torpedo. Let's see how this box of DC's are!

well the box of Ambrosia I just won at $40 off the CI catalog price, so I guess pretty good, then I saved about $50 off a box of Naturals a few months ago. Now coffee here I can't get at a penny under retail, the bidding structure for coffee isn't very good.I mean coffee and low priced merchandise should be a 50 cent increments instead of $1. But my all time best deal I think is the box of Carlos Torano's, the large Churchill on a blowout three years ago here for $20, those are outstanding cigars, and liked them so much plopped down to buy a new box last year at retail. They also did a few blowouts on the 5 Vegas, which was decent enough.

A box of Romeo y Julieta churchills for $52.00. Now they go for well over $75.00. Still isn't a terrible deal.
