Anyone else have a collection of cigar bands you've smoked? If so, how many different bands do you have? I have 107 since I started collecting(last 2 years)....not that you care:(

Started 'collecting' cigar bands about 8 months ago. By collecting I mean that I have just been taking the bands off cigars I've smoked in the past 8 months and placed them in a giant glass stein in my bar. I have over 250 bands in there ranging from dogrockets to super-premiums and a few ISOMs. I'll pour them out on my scanner and post the picture on the pic board if you guys want me to (hell, I'll do it anyway. I'll use the pic as wallpaper for my desktop)

Yes I am guilty of this too. Actually have a coffee table with a pull out glass top that I can put the bands in to press them and display. A real conversation piece. All in all maybe 65-75 different bands. Will take a picture and upload to BB.

I started collecting them when I starting enjoying cigars about three years ago...I have approx 200 taped up in my locker at work...ANother fifty or so in a CAO cigarbox autographed by Cano Ozgener (the CEO of CAAngel...I was thinking of also scanning them and placing them on the board here...My bands consist of dogrockets, premiums, super-premiums (Partagas 150s, Opus), and about twenty ISOMS.

I have a crystal decanter with most of the bands from the cigars I have smoke. I also put brief notes about my opinion of the smoke on the back of the band. I probbably have 100+ different bands, I have never counted.

Since I discovered BC early this year, I've collected the bands of the cigars that I've smoked. When winning bids I print the lotpage, store them in a binder with the bands taped in. In the beginning I also made notes of how each cigar was experienced, but has stopped this. I mean, I can tell that my palette has changed, and cigars rated good some 6 months ago, might be rated Dog Rockets now, so what's the point. Will continue to collect bands though.

I quit collecting bands about a year ago when I quit smoking cigars. Oh foolish me. I'm smoking cigars again but tossed my book of over three hundred different bands. And yes, there is a cigar brand for every letter of the alphabet. (Xquisito and Quintero for you non believers.)
