As someone relatively new to cigar smoking, I've already crammed my 30 +/- capacity humidor full. I'm looking for something to hold a number of sampler packs and a few boxes of my favs (so far) so I can trade.

Anyone have either a positive or negative experience with this humidor? I see it's auctioned regularly on this site.

Also, I've heard folks refer to a "coolerdor", which I assume is a converted drink cooler. Anyone here ever tried anything like that? Let me know. Thanks all!

I have limited room in my home for cigar storage so I went the coolerdor route. It works very well with little maintanence. Try www.cigargroup/faq/ for ideas and construction info. There's also info on conversion of furniture. Sam's Warehouse had coolers for $39 and Target had the small stackable shelves. Good Luck!

put good weather striping around the doors and draw , add a lock on doors to keep closed , and a latch on the draw

After the kids go off to college, turn a bedroom into a walk-in humidor and smoking area. Just make sure the walk-in is over-pressurized to keep the cigar smoke away from your precious puros.

Thanks for the tips, folks. Despite my wanting a nice wood 'dor, I think I'll try the coolerdor route for now and save my $ for some stix I've heard about on the board. Thanks again.
