First ... you don't need an invitation to join this forum, since it is a public (retail) site. One can only point it out to you, and then it's up to you to set up an account so that you can post (and bid).

Second ... my suggestion, would be to read the 'General Guidelines' when you first click on 'Forum' and get familiar with the way our hosts want their site run. It will save you from possible embarrassement and future 'slamming', as some folks here like to call it.

Third ... it's customary that new members of the group post a little bio of themselves, so that others can get to know them better. It's totally up to you, but will keep a lot of the speculation and guessing to a minimum. All of us have done this at one time or another, and if you check the archives, you will learn more about us ...

Rick, think about the Red Necks and Hillbillies (sorry to the politically correct, but a spade is a spade) from all of Burt's early "Good Ole'Boy" Films! That is what I was referring to, think about "Deliverance" and the famous rape scene!

Hey cooksta2, I see in your post you wrote ..." I was born and raised in New York, but fortunate to move to charlotte." What was wrong with NY? I've been to Charlotte, NC and I'd have to say I'm "fortunate" to be back in NY!!

There's nothing wrong with NY if one doesn't mind up to an hour and a half commute each way. Other than that the only thing missed is food and access. I just having an extra two to three hours a day to dedicate to my life and enjoyment. Several trips a year is more than enough for me.Do you know anyone that doesn't mind the LIE or the BQE? I didn't think so. No insults intended

Oh, that explains it all. The dreaded LIE!! The phrase "Rush Hour" does not pertain to that road!! It's rush hour 24/7!! How is it that no matter what time you leave Manhattan, whether it be 1:00pm, 2:00pm, etc, there's always traffic!! And the BQE, thats another one. It's the road that construction never ends on!! I guess you don't see the extra travel time saved & appreciate it till you no longer have to deal with it! Am I right in guessing you lived on the island and had commute to Manhattan daily? Anyway, now you have more time to enjoy a cigar!!! Even though your no longer living here, you'll always be a New Yorker. Like they say..you can take the man out of NY, but you can't take NY out of the man!! Have a good weekend!!

True true. I did live on the island and can't even begin to explain the appreciation of a few extra hours a day. I have all the time I need to enjoy a good smoke and half this city is filled with people from NY. On top of that, it doesn't even get cool outside until about November. Also, cigars here are extremely cheap, but I still find great deals on this site. Talk to you soon. Cooksta2

Hey, Cook.......
Say hi to my family in Salisbury, for me. Thanks. I haven't been home in a few months. Maybe during the upcoming Holidays. It all depends on what the Navy has in store for me. Peace.
