I'm reminded of the common phenomenon one observes in an English-only person who is attempting to communicate with someone that speaks very limited English ... they tend to be repetitious and to speak louder, somehow imagining that will bridge the communication gap ...

Rick. I can only comment on a few of the subjects shown in your pic.
1.The stock market began its downward spiral a year before Clinton left office. It totally collapsed after 9-11. Thats not Bushes fault. Besides that, too much credit or blame is given to the President. Its the people who work hard,take chances,come up with new inventions & ideas that make the biggest difference. Now if oil gets expensive then we may be looking at future economical problems. We will have to see.
2.The election outcome was in the hands of the courts.Bush had no control over how that would be handled.
3.Corpoate corruption was going on during the Clinton administration obviously. It didnt happen over night. But if you notice nobody was caught during his presidency. They are surfacing now though. Seems like its this administration is not going to play around with cheaters.
4.Blood for Oil? Lets see some facts to support that. This war is about terrorism and oil just happens to be a problem we will address depending on how the war goes. Lets use our own resources and drill offshore and tap into the oil in Alaska. To be stronger we need to get away from depending on middle eastern oil.

NOT in the hands of the courts ... Bush won, period He had more electoral votes than Gore and that's what counts.
What the courts DID decide was to call a halt to the endless recounting of Florida ballots. No recount there has ever produced a change in the outcome. Bush was elected and that's all there is to it ... he was NOT appointed by the courts, no matter what liberal whiners say to the contrary ...

SteveS,I didnt mean to say he was appointed. You sort of put words in my mouth. I think we do agree on the point that the courts ended the sillyness that was going on. Bush did get the electoral vote. Thats good enough for me. It still sounds Good. PRESIDENT BUSH !

X,I dont really like the electoral voting system. But that system is in place now and we must use it until something changes. Now I would like to hear about even 1 dirty tactic used to cheat and win the election. Just one backed up with facts please. Mag

well fortunately we must use the electoral system. it each state is set to a certain amount of electoral votes per population of that state. so you see, it is fair and balanced and that is the way this country was founded. unfortunatly gore couldnt win his own state of tenn. just because more liberials live in california and newyork and mass were im from by the way than any other state means if we didnt have the electoral voting system these states could dictate the outcome of every election. by getting the popular vote just be cause more people live in these states than the middle of the country. the elction was fair. god bless texas and god bless bush

i will take your sage advice and not mention anything political for at least ten days.

i will work on my comments regarding my new cigar collection and report as i try each new brand. i will post a photo of the bad frog box as requested, when my digital camera arrives.

i will mention movies that i have seen recently, and comment on nothing in any film that has anything to do with politics.

i will soon list some movies starring gong li, one of the most beautiful and gifted actresses in the world.

i can hear sighs of relief and mumblings of discontent, "who am i going to argue with now?"

happy thanksgiving, i will be eating my customery corned beef on seeded rye with new pickles, and dr. brown's cream soda.

for desert an egg cream and if i can find hidden in my freezer, a devil dog, if not a black and white.
