Awhile back someone from this board said they would send me some diesels to try. Well, last night I got back from Chicago area and there was a package that contained some diesels AND some other smokes for me to try.

Only problem is I don't remember the name board name of the person who sent them to me. Whoever it was (Ed you know who you are) please fess up so that I can thank you in front of everyone and let all on this board know what a fine gentleman you are.

I introduced a friend of mine to cigars, for the very first time at the beginning of the year. And his very first cigar ...

... was a Diesel.

He can't seem to get enough of them. Since that time, I've given him OpusX, Oliva 'O', and just about every other really far superior cigar I could spare from my humidors.

But, regardless of my attempts to show him what I consider to be the best cigars out there are, his staple 'go to' cigar is still the Diesel.

Maybe it's the same for him like Napa Reserve Canary Island cigars are to me ...

... I guess it's just like your first love, you never forget it, and it was always the best ...

Well, I wanted to try one and this guy, Ed, sent me some. Didn't ask for anything in return. Maybe this cigar isn't for everyone. Maybe it won't be for me. But thanks to Ed I'll be able to find out.

Anyway, if you are out there Ed, thanks much. I really appreciate it.

Really? It was you Mr. Mean? I would never have guessed. Well, if it was then thanks a lot. What were the two unbanded cigars that were in the second bag?

You found me out!
the other two are the bahia leftover maduros. You had made mention of finding fuller bodied cheaper smokes and I think those two fit the profile perfectly.
Enjoy!

... let me take a wild guess on this one.

Mr.Mean, could they possibly be from one of those 'Tambor Bundles' that are so incredibly good?

Mr. Mean has gifted me with quite a few smokes. He's not really as mean as he is scarey! LOL (thanks Ed)
