You know, when I was young (ok, maybe not that young); a friend of mine went to France. She asked if I wanted Cubans, and of course I said yes. One of the ones she gave me was a Monte. I wish to hell I would have known the difference at the time, but it STILL remains a smoke that I compare all others to. I remember the flavor, the taste, the bite on the tongue...I smoked it playing a tournament at Tustin Ranch GC. Had a freaking unbelievable day, btw.

Very good, bubba. Well done, and congrats. I'm envious a little, but I know you're in for a very nice treat. Enjoy yourself, and please be sure to write back and tell us the experience: what you were doing at the time, the time, the place, etc...

Later,

Stuart

Depends on who and where you bought if from. Are they dependable? The band on that looks just the same as the one on the #4 I have on my desk right now. Of course, when it's done burning, I could always pull the band off and stick it on a Lone Wolf......

personally i dont think its real. The wrapper is a little dark, i know variation does occur but thats very dark. The band looks a little to dark. I could be wrong but it doesnt look all that genuine to me. just my opinion. either way, enjoy it!

Actually that is all a function of exposure with the camera! I think the photo is overexposed, thus making everything darker, the other pics do the Monties more justice!

I think they are real!

luke2k4, What Charlie said, all other aspects of the packaging and cigar attributes were dead on, the one question I had was in regards to the tips of the torps. All is taken care of now and I smoked one, it was incredible and quelled my suspicions.

They ARE REAL!
Thanks to everyone for your help...
