Can't say that I was surprised and probably wouldn't have been, no matter which candidate won but I was shocked to see Ken Dorsey finish 5th in the voting ... I'm not a Miami fan, but I thought he should've won it and had I been a voter, would've voted for him ...

The crew at the establishment that Mike and I had dinner at while they made the announcement went crazy...I'm clueless, but hope that it's a good thing for all of you footballees!

It's simple. The Miami duo split the votes and Carson came out the winner. I love it.

He won it based on his last 6 games!!! I will say that he has had about as good a span of games as anyone I have ever seen!

The fate that awaits is being drafted by a bad football team like the Bungals!

They went crazy because he's a USC player ... SoCal fans are happy because a local boy makes good ...

In PA, IA, or FLA (where the other candidates were from), the reaction would not have been so positive ... also, those who don't much care for the UofMiami (and due to a lot of negativity that's surrounded the UoM program for a lot of years now, that's quite a few folks) were just happy that ANYone other than the Miami guys won ...

I don't care much for UoM on the whole, but was sorta pulling for Ken Dorsey because he's a SF area kid that I've been aware of since his HS days ... he's a super kid from a super family who's done quite well for himself ... two more kids from this area are in line to take his spot after he graduates ...

Even if you combined McGahee and Dorsey they had less votes than Palmer. I was quite surprised by the outcome, but I agree with it. Put Palmer in Miami's offense and he would produce more than Dorsey!

And for the record I hate USC so I'm not biased, I'm still licking my wounds from when they trounced my buffalos!!
