I find drew estate cigars to always be fantastic. It seems that they are all consistently good burners. Any comments from Drew fans?

I tried some Def Sea's by Drew Estate and I didn't like em much. They were tasty enough, but I found the wrappers very fragile and they often split or came apart. They also burned unevenly and the tabacco became bitter if you let them sit too long in my humidor. If I ordered them again I would only order a five pack and smoke them quickly. I would expect that kind of quality in a lower end cigar but when your paying 80 bucks a box wholesale that's a big chunk of change for poorly made cigar.
On the Upside I recently took advantage of a deal on a box of La Vieja Habanna by Drew Estate. for under a buck a stick that was one great deal. I mean sure it was a short filler cigar, But the wrapper was excellent, and it was all cedar wrapped to boot. It had an easy smooth draw, great taste and a nice body.

I like the Acids and REALLY like the naturals. I also got a few tins of the Mayorga coffee infused sticks and I like them also (good for right before I do a show).
I've tried the La Viejas and didn't like them. They weren't bad they just didn't do it for me. I have not tried the Industrial Press or the Ambrosia yet.

I really like the Acids too. I have been wanting to try the coffee infused but can't find them anywhere.

CG- were your Def's from a 5 pk sampler box??
I've seen this complaint before..
I snagged a box awhile back for $63 bills and I found them excellent construction, burn, and a real decent change of pace once and awhile..
Also enjoy Nat Root's for a change too..

I too had the problem with my Def Sea 5- pack smokes falling apart. However I kept 2 for about two months and they smoked liked champs. A little pricey for a funky smoke. I learned from experience, buy Acids in small numbers unless you are positive you will make it a regular smoke.

my .02 - I'm a big fan of Jonathan and the DE Team. They are some of the best and most creative minds in the business - I appreciate the fact that they 'color outside of the lines.'
Our tradition-oriented business needs a good shot in the arm once in a while from companies such as DE/Acid. Good job fellas - keep up the nice work.

From Drew Estates, I smoke:
Natural - Jucy Lucy, Dirt, White Rabbit
ACID - Kuba Kuba, Blondie
Industrial Press - Brickk
Ambrosia - haven't tried yet
La Vieja Habana - NONE, tried all, and not a fan of this one.

i am a huge drew estate fan. i prefer the natural line as a whole. but i have also smoked the other lines and have found ones i like in each one. haven't found the coffee infused ones yet. they aren't everyone's cup of tea but they offer a great change of pace smoke.

Hege's 2nd post is on target. #1 is the best, followed by Extraordinary Larry, a monster of a smoke (ring size 60) that attracts broads within a 2-mile radius. Haven't had one in a while, and I may have let my last #1 rest too long. Better take care of that soon.

Smoked a couple of the flavored ones. Can take or leave 'em. Wife liked the smell, of course. Had the same problems with the Def Sea that I won in a Cbid 5-pk. Wrappers split and shredded, similar to the problem I had with a 5-pack of Indian Gorillas. The Natural Green Hero I really enjoyed. A multitude of off-the-wall fillers. Smells a lot like pipe tobacco. Very enjoyable smoke for a change.

So far I enjoy everything i tried in the DE line. I love the Natural Root and Dirt was pretty good as well. Need to try another Dirt to decide if I am a big fan of not. As for the Industial Press line, I love the Brikk as well. Never tried an Acid (not a fan of flavored cigs) or any of the others yet. Still working on them. Being I live a half hour from Cigar International, I can pick up any of the lines off their HUGE Drew Estate wall. Actually, going out this weekend. For once I'm glad I'm from PA!!
Happy smoking all!

Actually mine was a full box and not a 5- pack that I bought at auction right here. I looked up my old reciept and looks like I paid about $68.00 including shipping, which I thought was a heck of deal considering they go for almost 120.00 on the normal web site. Judging from all the positive comments I may have judged the Acid line too fast. Perhaps I'll try them again. Except this time I won't make the mistake of putting them in my Humidor. An air tight mason jar is the place for those things.

Big fan of DE but not the ACIDS
Tried these and found them to be light to medium and flavorful: Ambrosia triple coronas,Pimp sticks
and the best are Brooklyn Naturals.
