I'd like to propose a "remote herf" on Christmas Eve ... at 9pm EST ... 8 Central, 6 Pacific as they say on TV (MST, you've gotta figure the time out on your own), let's each light one up and "toast" one another ... Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukah ... here's to the best New Year ever ...

I also want to wish a very happy Holiday season to all of you here at Cbid. I feel like I've added a branch to my extended family. The comeraderie, information and humor on this board has been a source of fun for me for almost a year now. Even with the bickering, (Slim and Marla come to mind), the information, understanding and compassion you guys are willing to impart is outstanding.
All of you be safe, enjoy your families and smoke em up during the season.

SammyDaddy's mention of extended family is appropos ... clearly, we are that. We have, as he observed, some little internal feuds from time to time, but on the whole, the care and regard that are exhibited for one another are remarkable, even by those who try to mask their care and regard with humor or with brusqueness ...

I've received personal e-mails today from more than one person in our group who each described to me, his reaction to some packages of cigars sent by others in the group ... that had arrived for him ... I was struck by the similarity in the messages ... each writer spoke of being humbled and overwhelmed by the generosity of others as well as having experienced rather strong emotions upon recognizing the extent of the generosity shown to him by others ... and they were not talking about the same gift givers ....

That, to me, speaks volumes about the nature of our group and I'm sincerly humbled to simply be part of a group that contains people of such high caliber ...

Wish I'd thought of how to say all that in my card ... it IS what I was thinking ...

The Cards were fantastic, I had to send copies out.
I've been trying to tell my wife and friends how this is the best bunch of people anyone could ever run across. Different as night and day in some cases but held together by a common thread. The friendliest and and most generous people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. Glad to be a part of this group!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I have been reading these boards for quite sometime now and just never added my thoughts. Just been too afraid. All the other forums I've been in, if you say one little thing wrong, everyone hounds you for it. Steve 9 pm I will be lighting up a smoke and thinking of everyone. I hope it is not to cold out here in PA, I have to check out the weather.
