Naw, it's a conspiracy. We're ALL out to get you. You thought you'd get premium smokes for a buck...hahahaha! We know when you log on, and we know what you like. You'll NEVER get a deal.

Do you believe THAT?! Some guys live in NY,CA and MA where the "sin" taxes make even an overblown auction look like a good deal. Just relax, and show a little restraint. Some guys also just HAVE to win an auction. Set your price, and unless you promised your boss or father in law that special smoke hold to it.

It's never too high for me. I set my own limits. If someone else gets the stuff I bid on, well, that's just real life. Can't win 'em all. Some of the prices some people pay I don't call winning anyway.

Ya mon. I'm in Washington state and at the local shops you can't get anything smokable for less that $8 or so- that's rock bottom minimum you pay unless you smoke Swisher Sweets. Even the grocery stores which sometimes have decent cigars in their cigar charge that much but they tend to be dried out because grocery stores don't bother to maintain the humidifier even if there is one. Even the Indian reservations which don't have the sin taxes are almost as expensive.

Be patient. In the last 60 days I have scored approx. 150 cigars, most at 1/2 price or less. I'm talking name brands, Punch, La Perla Habana, Perdomo, Padron, Onyx, Mayorga, Estavan Cruz and HdM. I got a $150 humidor for $90 and various lighters and cutters. Have an idea of the retail price, set a limit and soon you'll be overstocked too.

I agree with THL. Find out what the retail price of an item your interisted in, or find out what CI sells it for at thier "Normal" price. Figure out what you think is a good deal in your own mind and watch the auctions like a hawk. I got so many cigars I don't even have room for them in my humidor and have to resort to using mason jars. It's sad but true, but I just can't pass up a good deal and there are plenty here. Maybe we can start some sort of 12 step program for Cigarbid.
