Not a bad smoke, BUT, cigarbid has to be more truthful in their descriptions. I love
cigarbid, but this description borders on false,
"Fore cigars are made by the folks at Tamboril - the now defunct makers of
Tamboril and Cordova - these medium-bodied smokes used to sell for 4-5 bucks per cigar,
now a great value with this blowout at around 50 cents apiece. Cameroon seed wrappers,
Dominican long-filler. Size: Robusto (5" x 50)"
Ok, these are really, really mild (if you're into mild cigars, buy a truckload of
these!), not medium-bodied. Cameroon seed wrappers? Eh, I'll just take your word on it,
but it looks more like a candela wrapper than anything else. Cameroon is supposed to be
darker than maduros, this one's light as a Connecticut, but with a tinge of green to it,
perhaps that's why they say "Cameroon seed".
My main problem with these sticks is that they are said to be "long-filler".
These were mixed filler at best. At the foot, it looks like a long-filler, but when taken
apart, the tobacco is shredded, like cigarette tobacco.
Another minute point is the size description. Said to be 5" x 50, but are actually
5" x 46.
This smoke was a great deal at $12.95 per bundle, and if you're a mild cigar smoker,
buy as many as you can if these show up again. (They taste like Amaretto flavored cigars
and have a minty smell to them) Construction was decent, but dry (probably due to
shipping), and it burned evenly.
My reason for posting this message is to ask cigarbid to be more straightforward with
their descriptions in the future. I know cigarbid wants to move the product, but I'm
disappointed that these cigars are not medium-bodied nor long-filler. Will I send them
back? NOPE, they're going in my guest humidor for friends.
