2.) Carlos Turano Exodus 1959 – I know, I know it’s a new kid on the block. For those of you who have tried this cigar know already how special this one is. While I tend to believe aging helps most cigars settled down I think this cigar is prime to smoke right out of the box. First this cigar has the best construction of any box press I have ever seen. Near perfect density with no hard or soft spots allow this stick to smoke flawlessly. The wrapper has a fine toothy texture that oozes oily goodness. While the aroma is less than unique the taste is outstanding. I would classify more medium bodied than full bodied. I am not the biggest Carlos Turano cigar fan but he has something special with this one. You will get more enjoyment out of this cigar than the VSG because you can afford to smoke it every day. You will love this cigar. If not, I’ll buy the rest of yours!

I may be nitpicking here ... but how can you compare (if your are) cigars that have a sun-grown wrapper, to those that do not?
Personally ... I feel the wrapper has a huge impact on the flavor, and I find it difficult to compare apples to oranges ... ;^)

BTW, a very good pick ...
FYI, the Carlos Torano Signature Collection, pulled in an astounding and nearly unprecedented 4.7 from Smoke Magazine (look out Bucanero el Capitan Reserva Maduro), and was rated 81 to 90 by Cigar Aficionado.

I tried an Exodus '59 torpedo, and while I do agree that the construction and box press are both excellent, I just didn't find it to my taste. Perhaps I'll try another eventually... For now I've traded the ones I had left away.

I smoked my first one last night. I found it to be a little bland for my tastes. It had a lot of smoke and burned well, but something was missing.
