Dinner is done and it was a good one ... I roasted some 3" thick pork chops that I was lucky enough to bring out of the oven at the perfect time ...

Working on a spicy Bloody Mary now and enjoying (an understatement) a Bucanero Full Sail ...

I wanted to wish each and every one of you a happy New Year ... the friendships I've made with so many of you here mean a great deal to me ... the comraderie we have, the humor we share and the occasional bits of cigar-related knowledge and information we exchange here are something one seldom finds at any time and in any place ... we are, in a very real sense, a family and one I'm pleased and proud to be a member of ...

To those of you that it's been my pleasure to meet and to those whose in-person friendship I still have to look forward to, my sincere best wishes for a very happy and prosperous 2003 ...

Finally, my extreme thanks to Cigars International and CigarBid for making this forum available to us ... it is priceless and is very greatly appreciated. Best to your organization in the months and years ahead.

Earlier tonight I enjoyed an Hoya de Nicaragua (very underrated in my opinion) won here on Cbid. Little more than one hour to go here in SoCal till midnight and I'm smoked out. Tomorrow I'll enjoy another of these super fine cigars!!!!

Happy New Year to everyone here. I've enjoyed the banter this last year and look forward to more next year.

Happy New Year to you all!! No smoke tonight. Had a little party with the kids. They shot confetti and streamers all over my car. Drank Martinelli's sparkling cider and watched Star Wars II.

Time for bed now. I wish you all a fantastic 2003! I hope to meet more of you over the course of the New Year!

eleltea ... yea, the Buc was influencing me alright ... a cigar that good when combined with bloody marys and some champagne tends to lead to a pretty mellow mood ...
