Want to start mixing my own solution of PG and distilled water. What type of store do I buy the PG in?

Keep looking and asking. Most places if you tell them what you're REALLY doing with it aren't too enthused to oblige.

I called ahead after about 5 tries I had a gallon container.

Got a quart of PG last year over the Internet (site out of Florida) for about $10. Use any search engine to look for the chemical name. Got a gallon of distilled water at the grocery store for under $2.

Also, when I use this solution, do I use it every time I charge my humi or only once in a while for treatment?

Perhaps I've got something new to learn here ... Doc says he uses it all the time, but I'd always thought that PG didn't evaporate like water does and that it didn't need to be replenished nearly as often ... I've been adding PG on only about a semi-annual basis ...

Rite-Aid drug stores (or an older established chain) have i or can order it for about $10. per pint.

Chemistrystore dot com is the ticket.About 18-19 bucks total,shipped to So Cal.Less if your closer,I believe they are in Florida.
