OK, I've smoked a few cubans over the years. Not a lot, but enough to know that there are great ones, and also some overpriced mediocre ones. A recent trip outside the country by a good friend of mine resulted in me being the recipient of a Montecristo #2. I chose this one prior to his trip based on reviews I've read and of course the opinions on this board. Now I need your help again. When should I smoke it? No major occassions coming up (weddings, etc) and on the big holidays like turkey day I am lucky if I have enough time for an El Jocko. The bigger question is: Can I wait for a special occassion, or will it be snipped and lit before y'all read this? Suggestions appreciated.

Enjoy it after a big meal (like Thanksgiving)...It's a good smoke, although some (and I have no idea why) consider it a mild smoke..Very flavorful, Medium bodied IMHO

Smoke it when you have an hour that you want to make yours. Repay yourself for whatever hell you tolerate. Make it your special gift to yourself, all it takes is finding the time. I'd include a good cabernet, myself.
