I finally broke down, and had my first Cuban tonight. It was a Montecristo #4 I received in a trade with 'DA MAN' quite a while back, and has sat in my 'dor since. I know, it took me a long time to fire that puppy up. I'm smoking it as I type, and am having it with a Foster's Special Bitter (oil can size ... 25.4 fl. oz.). OH ... MY .... GAWD ... I'll never be the same again. I might as well throw most of what I've got in the compost pile right now ... I honestly think, that's one of the main reasons I didn't smoke it sooner. I was afraid that this was going to happen ... that it was going to 'taint' me forevermore. The taste, the smell of the smoke (I also waited until the wifey was out of town, so I could smoke it in the house), the construction and the draw ... unbelievable. I'm even inhaling now and then (more now, that then ... used to smoke 'Humps') it's that smoooooth. It's actually smoother than a non filter cigarette! It's an experience that I will never forget ... forever embedded on my brain cells. Maybe a few more of these 'oil cans' will fix that ... THANK YOU ... MY FRIEND! You're generosity has opened up a whole new world to me ...

Isn't that always the way? The dealer says, "First one is free..." next thing you know, you're a junkie :)

And you might be surprised at the ISOMs that can be had for $5. a stick. I had my first a month ago, it was smaller that a petite corona (less than $3 too) but had more flavor than a CAO maduro ani.. churchill (and I'm not dissing the CAO)
Go Yankees!

I agree with you Nolan...I recently had a Quintero (ISOM) that was machine-made and it had a lot of flavor and strength...Very impressive!...It was a petite corona size...According to the friend that gave it to me, it costs about two bucks a stick!..Good DEAL!

Congrats.......I have found recently that I prefer the Honduran or DR cigars over the Cubans. Don't ask me why it just seems here lately my Cubans are just ordinary.

Heeeeyyyyy! Isn't it illegal to have cigars from Cuba? What are you guys doing? And I thought there were cops and lawyers (latin?) on this site. You should all be ashamed. How hypocritical of you! I do, however, happen to know of a safe method of disposal. Please send the cigars to my attention and I will promptly dispose of them.

I'm happy for you...I feel your excitement...just don't forget to open the windows before you-know-who returns! A nice bouquet of flowers might help distract her! I hope to finally lite mine up in the desert this Friday night. Anyone gonna be around So. California? We're going to Glamis to ride ATC's. I figure it's as good a place as any! For those who know about my little surgery, my gums finally almost healed and should be good this weekend! Partied hard last weekend, but no smokes!

JJ, well I wish him luck! My 12 year old son is always at the skatepark or out terrorizing the neighborhood! So far, only 1 concussion (like that's a good thing) and ton's of scrapes, scabs, scars, and bruises. It's been 3 years since we've been riding. I can't wait! Only problem is...we used to sleep in my van (which bit the dust) and now have a '99 Mustang conv. that won't accommodate 4 people! Maybe I'll see if I can round up a tent. Just hope the weather stays good or else we'll end up going somewhere else like Lake Arrowhead or Santa Barbara for the night.

SUGGEST YOU CONTACT BRENT AND DON'T EMBARRASS YOURSELF. THIS BOARD APPEARS TO BE A CLOSED CLUB OF YOUNGSTERS OVERWHELMED BY THE REALLY GOOD CIGAR. I'LL SAY GOODBYE AND SEE YOU ALL ON THE AUCTION BLOCK AS RM OF LA HABRA.
