I just noticed that someone has bid $24.00 for a 5-pack of the old Cohiba Esplendidos by Monte Christi de Tobacos. The copy on the site clearly explains that these were made by the manufacturer who was enjoined from using that brand. While the band is a close copy of the Cuban band, the cigars, themselves were extremely mild, right of the torcedor's table. Now, with several years of age, they must be milder than the mildest of the Macanudos. There are still a few boxes available around the net, very cheaply. The blend is still available with a similar looking band under two other labels that I've seen.
