Let me start by saying that this usually is a fine smoke. I've bought 35 or so in the last month or so of the Xs and #4s in both maduro and rosado. Twice now the draw has been so tight that I thought I was going to get a hernia. Rolling them helped a little but it was still tough going. Any one else had this problem? A cigar of this stature shouldn't have these problems IMO. Could it be a bad batch? Will humi time help? From the feel of some of the others I can tell which ones are really packed.

Have had several before. All seemed to smoke OK. I did buy a box of La Trad. Perdomo Reserve "A"'s (9-1/4 x 47)and smoked about 5 now... all seemed to have a very tight draw. Don't know if it is a combination of the 9-1/4" leghth, the box pressing or the packing of the tobacco. They all seem to loosen as I smoke them but are still an effort. Tasty though..

They sound a little wet,Try dry boxing for a few days before smoking them. If the draw is still tight, try storing at about 65% humidity. X

I have experienced the same problem with the Perdomo Reserves lately. The draw is really tight, can't get a decent amount of smoke out of it until I am well past the mid point of the cigar. Going to try and dry them out to see if it helps but they didn't seem like they were all that damp to me.

I was about to write and say I'd never experienced that problem, but realized I've not bought any lately ... the ones I've got have been in my humidor for quite some time ... maybe that IS the answer as some of these guys are saying ....

Had my first Perdomo Reserve a few days ago, a #4 Rosado. It was excellent.

Don't get me wrong. I love these cigars. That's why I've bought so many. I'm not giving up on them yet.

Perdomo has a web site with a forum that he and his wife watch on a regular basis. Problem with a Perdomo? Mention it there and see what he does. He can be genreous at times.

interesting points made here. 1st, never had this problem but like already said, I have some cigars (X)bought over a year ago. What intrigues me is that I have heard the same issues (overall burn problems) regarding CAO cigars. Both are made in the same factory owned by Nick Perdomo. While very good tasting cigars, quality issues have cropped up more often lately. I hope this doesn't continue

I have a cedar-lined leather case that holds five good size cigars. After loading it on Sunday I throw it in the car and have one a day on the ride home from work. By Friday any damp cigar is ready to go. I have one in there and will save it for Friday to see if maybe they're just too wet.
BTW last night's ride featured an Oliva "O" maduro. I went the long way.

Thumbs down. Like trying to suck a golfball through a garden hose.
