Downed 14 Gulf Coast Oysters at Pappadeaux this evening, followed by 1-3/4 lb Maine lobster steamed to perfection. I ripped into it like a Bostonian, and left nothing behind but empty shells, broken legs and claws.

After a gret meal like this, and since the night air in D/FW got just a tiddly bit nipply, I clipped off the slightest bit of a little Ashton VSG Enchantment and slowly set it aglow. Wrapper as smooth as a fresh-spanked baby's ass, just the slightest line of a vein, only apparent after I put on my glasses, flawless color, sweet and smooth as oscuro. Sipping on a 12-year old single malt double-barrel-aged Scotch, The Balvenie. The ash never fell off. By the time the nub was burning my thumb and forefinger, it was mostly ash and still had its original shape. Let me sum up this little power cigar in a word: Damn!

Now, if even 10% of those oysters do their job, no doubt, the evening will end even perfecter.

Can't quite match that el, but mine wasn't bad. Wife was in a cooking mood so we grilled pork tenderloin with a tangerine rosemary sauce, roasted root veges, great basic salad and a decent zin. Build a fire in the outdoor fireplace and had a Panza double madero wih a glass of Lagavoulin(sp?)single malt. Life is indeed good!

Mean, you are a home brewer? Would be interested if you have an Irish ale you like. Just did one that came out pretty fruity. Probably fermented to warm.

Last night watched a couple movies "Signs" and "Windtalkers" and smoked a Monte Series V and a La Rosa Maduro next to the fire place. I can't keep the damn La Rosa's lit.
12 degrees outside last night.

Ate at a Ruby's Diner before going to the movies to see L of Rings 2 Towers. Afterward, went outside into the "nippy" mountain air in Chandler AZ; lit up a nicely aged VSG Corona Gorda and chased it with two fingers of tax and duty free Hennessy Cognac XO. The VSG provided volumes of smoke and even in the somewhat chilly night air the aroma coming off the cognac was very evident and nice. Next time, I'll have to substitute the VSG Sorceror for the Corona Gorda...

went to bed around 8:30 last night, with anticipation of my battle today with my first Camacho 11-18. Was a close fight. I'd call it a tie.

Charlie, I am in far east Fort Worth, and so is the Pappadeaux where we ate.

The full report will have to wait until my memoirs are published, Steve, lol.

My night wasn't near as good as el's, but I did manage to get in a Cuban Bolivar PC and a Sam Smith IPA while watching the last quarter of the Steelers game.

Thanks for clearing that up, Coug ... I know about the miracle of satelite TV that allows me to watch the Letterman show at 8:30 or at 9:30pm Pacific time but I was absolutely stunned to think that technology had been developed which would allow you to watch an event that hadn't been played yet ...

I think we should all be focusing on the Boli PC and the Ale and not on my ability to travel through time....or the fact that I don't read thread titles very carefully before posting.

Boring weekend...stayed home Friday AND Saturday nights...just didn't feel like going out...Mike had some 'gars in the backyard while I watched HGTV, Discovery, MTV and a VOD (Life Or Something Like It) that was cute, but nothing great.

He rummaged through the sweator'dor (hehe) and took one of MINE...a Santa Damiana that I'm pretty sure X gave me...well, since I wasn't in the cigar smoking mood, I guess I should be glad that at least he enjoyed it...

Today (Sunday) is MUCH better! Had breakfast at The Naked Cafe (where else would I eat)...drove by the ocean (surf's up and there's a competition in Cardiff) mid '70's today...came home to check on CBid stuff while Mike and our son are out buying an ATV...meeting up with some cousin's from New Hampshire for dinner...and then on to several cigars tonight...maybe a C.A.O. Criollo and a Padron 5000 that has my name all over it...
