My wife has a 1960's maroon smoking jacket inherited (along with various pipes & stands) from a favorite uncle. When I light up, I usually wear an old Eddie Bauer sweatshirt from my college days that has managed to survive getting tossed.
Anybody have a favorite smoking attire (shirt/jacket/hat/dress?) they like to wear?

It depends on the time of the year. In winter, I wear an insulated flanel shirt while smoking in my sun room/smoking parlor. In the summer, I wear a t-shirt while smoking on my deck.

I can remember my dad coming home after work and the first thing he did was put on his smoking jacket, light up a cigar and my mother making him a drink.
Me, My wife says don't smoke that thing in here so I put on a polar fleece go outside and freeze my a-- off.
Boy have times changed.

My favorite attire for smoking cigars is whatever I'm wearing at the time I light up ... usually, that's warmer clothing in winter and lighter clothing in the summer

I have an old jacket I keep in the garage for when I smoke outside in the winter, otherwise, in the summer i just wear a smile.

Agree with SteveS,again, whatever I am wearing! How about an After Six Tuxedo with Scottish Plaid tie? Or would one rather look like Clifton Webb (a lot of you youngsters will not know who he is) or George Sanders in a silk smoking jacket with appropriate attire!

Anything that shows cleavage...
Seriously, anything that I happen to be wearing when the mood strikes...which is usually showing cleavage...LOL
BMW...as in 'put a sock on it'??? LOL! That's a 'long' 'standing' joke around this house...
Speaking of Mike, he seems to gravitate towards one of his leather jackets...which he is now calling his 'smoking jacket'...

"Hey, I'm smokin in ANY jacket!"
I don't think about my attire, I just smoke whenever and wearing whatever.

Barry,
If John Frusciante ever give up his gig then you'd be a shoe in(gotta love puns!)with that outfit. Don't know if you know it but that's their initiation for being a member(there those puns again!)in RHCP.

I've found that by not being careful, I can turn any of my jackets into smoking jackets. The hard part is convincing my wife to sew up the burn holes ;-y

This winter I've gravitated towards my $5 denim Montecristo jacket. It stinks to high heaven, but I am, oh so, dapper in it, LOL.
