Won my first box of Bucanero Full Sails last night.

I know I probably overbid... By the way, How much is... OH SORRY, Dead Horse!!

A lot of you seem to mention good things about them on the board but I haven't tried one yet. Can't find these in my area so if I paid too much, ...Oh Well.
Let me know what to expect. Can't wait for delivery!!

If you paid more than $84, you overbid.

'Full Sails' regularly retail for around $102 online (if and when you can find them) ... and in CA (with the 67% tobacco tax) they retail between $120 to $130 for a box of 12 ...

... you did fine.

Thanks for the pricing info but I'm more interested on getting REVIEWS on the Buc Full Sail. Let me know what you think of them. I haven't tried one yet and everyone seems to hype them up.

They're my favorite smoke. I haven't had a bad one yet. I hope you're a fan of a full bodied smoke. If not...install a 3-point harness system onto your easy chair. I'd recommend eating a good meal beforehand and have a very generous adult libation within arms reach. You're probably going to want some type of a clip, I believe it's called a "roach" or a pipe for when it becomes too small to hold. A box of Kleenex for when you're through wouldn't be a bad idea either. It'll be those tears of joy though.

If you liked the PAM, OpusX,Ashton VSG and the Oliva Maduros, then you kinda know what to expect. You'll be amazed at their construction and the flavors...gotta go...just talking about them has caused me to throw caution to the wind...hold all my appointments...I've got a very important "date"!

See you in an hour and a half...Anchors away, shove off me matey's...arrggh! Thar' be strong winds a blowin'...Dead men tell no tales.

I grabbed the other box of these on this auction. I'm shocked Mike G. didn't outbid me again.. I guess he has enough to last him a while. Sorry to beat you by $3 Lowman. I was a little nervous cause I don't usually spend that much on my smokes, and just like Lowman, I've never had one before. I bought on hype. But I figured, Slim knows what he is talking about. So how could I go wrong. I'm not getting them any cheaper than this, so what the hell, anchor's away! I hope they're as good as you say Slim. I'll let you know next week.

xibbumbero --- not yet ... but soon, I hope. I DID the search on the Full Sails, and they were not (and are still not) listed. :^(

sluggo819 --- yeah, it seems that MG bid on every lot that came around. I guess he dosen't like to share. They are excellent cigars ... and well worth every penny, if you are into full-bodied, 'butt-kick' flavor powerhouses ... ;^)

Slim-they actually were listed on CI's site for $75. I think for about a day. You guys mentioned it here, so I checked CB, an yes they had some Buc's for auction. I then went to CI, but found nothing. The next day there they (full sails) were listed on CI for $75. They had peg legs too (I think) but I don't remember the price. I didn't order anything right away.I figured I'd wait a few days. Anyway, I went back to CI the next day to doublecheck prices, and they were not there anymore. Strange. Did I hallucinate? Maybe I shouldn't have smoked that JDN 1970 Antano beforehand.
Slim, why do you think they disappeared so quickly?

... they sold out.

Probably, due to the limited supply of certain lines, they will most likely reappear as they get them in ...

fgruben --- everyones tastes are different, which is fine ... but you seem to be in the minority.

And as said before, don't judge ANY cigar by having smoked only one. There are a lot of factors that could influence your opinion. You know ... your mood, whether you ate first, or what you are drinking at the time, how you are feeling physically, time of day ... etc.

Bucanero didn't win all those awards for nothing! ;^)

Then again ... they just might not be the flavor profile you are looking for in a cigar ...

... and also note that they have 7 or 8 different lines out there, with many different combinations of blends of leaves and wrappers from several different countries ... ranging from very mild, to very full bodied.

Lowman,

If MG never lets up and you need another source, let me know, maybe I can be of assistance. You could also go to the Bucanero site and see if there's anyone in your area that can help you out.

I had my first "Sail" this weekend. There is only one place in Vegas that carries them. It was $9.50 a stick. I hesitated to spend that much, but figured I wanted to try one before ordering. I was very happy with it. Thanks for all of the hype. I would never have tried it otherwise. Now I just need to get a deal.

That's funny. I also had my first full sail this past weekend in Vegas. Except I brought mine with me. I sat at a cafe at the Venetian for an hour and a half and had three large cups of coffee with it. It was a wonderful experience. Although, I must say my head was a little dizzy when I got up. But all in all, this is a great smoke and lives up to it's hype. Thanks Slim.
