The sad part is someone has bid $4.99 for it.

I wish I though of that. I have half a dozen of those still. I paid about .35c a stick when I bought them. I'm going online to bid on some more if I can draw $5 a stick plus $2 S/H.

Nope no one bought it! If you look there was no high bidder and the auction ended with no sale...Thanks God!
That would just be wrong. Not only did he start the bidding at a ridiculous $4.99, but he was going to charge you $2.00 to ship it. So if you were the only bidder you could get that fabulously RARE smoke in your mouth cold and dried out in about a week for $7!!!! I will take my chances with a LCC series R at the corner store for the same price. LOL!!

What's even funnier is all of the "Cuban Pre-Embargo" Cohibas being sold on eBay. Unless I'm mistaken, the embargo started around 1962 and I don't think Cohibas were made commercially available until 20 or so years later.

At least the sellers can defend themselves to eBay by saying that they're actually selling counterfeits (which is probably the case), so they haven't violated the rules. Of course, the value of these cigars is in the lovely black and yellow bands, not the smokes them selves ;-~y

Oh well, PT Barnum would have certainly appreciated eBay...

In the used car business, they say there's an a$$ for every seat ... here we can readily see that premise holds true for more than used cars ...
