Hey Guys, Just finished a very long shift at work and I pulled out the first cigar I could get from my Cabinet Humidor, a Sancho Panza Double Maduro Escudero.
So far, a quarter of the way through this cigar, I'm getting a pleasant buzz. Nice smoke...Med/full bodied, flavorfull, smooth, decent amount of smoke, and a good draw. Besides that, a nice oily sheen, and a little bloom on the wrapper. I've had Panza's before, but this is robust. I need some food and maybe a glass of Merlot.
Any of you guys had these yet before?

Smoked a Sancho Panza Quixote (4.5x50) not long ago, another so-called double maduro so it may be the same blend as the escudero. Anyway it was a great smoke.

Have a few of the larger sizes and a box of the shorties. Nice smoke and change of pace when you are trying to stretch out your higher $$ PAMs and Bucs.

Well, getting close to the last quarter of this cigar, abd still not bad. gatting slightly a little bitter, but overall a good smoke, especially for the money.
jd1: I agree...kinda like a lower end PAM or Buc, but not nearly close to the price. A decent change of pace, and IMO worth the price.

Good smoke. Why doesn't it cost more? Or others cost less? You can certainly pay more and get less. Kind of like Mayorga, Montecruz and the original HdM double maduros. You have to spend a lot more money to get a cigar that's marginally better. IMHO

I did not enjoy the first Sancho DM that I tried. I have a couple more that have been sleeping a couple of months. I'll give them until spring and then try again. I do like the Hoyo Darks a bunch. Smoked several of those; always a pleasure.

I've always liked the Sancho Panza's and have thought them to have what the high-tech crowd calls good price performance ... (high-tech term for good bang for the buck) ... IMHO, the maddies are every bit as good if not better ...
