You got excellent cigar at an excellent price, congradulations!
They've been mentioned here a few times, do a search and you'll probably get some good info.
X is the only one I've heard that didn't express a great liking for these things, but give him time. LOL

Bucanero Peg Legs are one of the best new cigars I've smoked in quite awhile. It's nice to find something new that really grabs you by the butt. The Peg Legs do just that. You got them for a great price.

RICKAMAVEN --- with all the good things that have been said about Bucanero cigars (and very few unfavorable remarks) ...

... it doesn't take a 'rocket scientist' to figure out that these are some of the best cigars out there.

Oh, and not to mention all the awards and high ratings their cigars have won over the years!

I still say it's all subjective. I have a friend who says the Ashton VSG is the world's best cigar. I am indifferent toward them and find the Montesino Sun Grown Pyramid to be better.

Rick, I used to love the Fat Cat Toros offered here and wish I could still get 'em. There was a good el cheapo. Hmm, Fat Cat and Bad Frog, if we added Evil Clown we'd have the villains for the next Spider man movie.

jreddoch --- subjective is absolutely correct!

... but you'll have to admit, with all the folks who have tried them ... how many said they didn't like them?

... very few, and that speaks volumes, to me anyway!

I did get them and I'll be shoving a bunch of old favorites aside to make sure these guys have plenty of room in the good humi. These are up to the hype Rick.

My boss just came by looking for a local source where he can get some of the Classico Maduros. Gifted him one a while back and he finally got to smoke it this weekend. New favorite smoke!

"no nothing about" means at least smoke one or two before buying a box. i didn't know peg legs were a bucanero when i first read it.

we all know i buy boxes of crap, but i pay very little and i go through 6 to 9 cigars a day, so a really bad box doesn't last long.

and i have privately shared information about some excellent cigars that no one bids on and i can buy very cheaply. i'm not taking about the bad frogs, or fighting ****'s or red heads, but some well made pretty decent smokes.

i try to stay away from the hyped cigars.

incidently, my first job in calif in 1959 was at santa susana working on a test stand, setting up and running tests of the atlas engine's performance. how did you know?

Just got a box delivered on Friday. Bought them without trying any. Many serious cigar smokers spoke highly of them and compared them to other cigars that I also enjoy, so I figured that I wouldn't be dissappointed... I trust you guys!!
Haven't smoked one yet... Tomorrow night is the night...

How do the Peg Legs compare to the Full Sails?

I bought a couple boxes of Full Sails and they reminded
me of PAM's which I hate to say I don't really like either.

huskey --- your aren't the only one who has said that the Full Sail tastes like a PAM, and that they didn't particularly care for the PAM ...

... the 'Peg Leg' is closer in strength and flavor to the el Capitan Maduro, so it's not quite as strong flavored as the 'Full Sail', IMHO.

Ahoy mate!! Arrrrrrrrrr...
Walked the Plank with my 1st Peg Leg last night and I gotta say that I really liked it. Not as strong as the Full Sail but very flavorful. My only complaint is that it is a little short... Wish it was 6 x 50 instead.

Low

PS.. When is C-Bid gonna start selling clips?? Too many blisters on my fingers!!

Had my first bucanero peg leg today. W-O-W!
What are some comparable smokes to this stogie? After a daily diet of ras tafaris and sportsman reserves I feel kinda euphoric?!

Ashton VSG's,Padron 1964 Anniversary Maduros, CAO Extremes, La Perla Black Pearls, Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970's. If you want the "real" deal, then move up to the Bucanero Full Sail!

Enjoy!
