I was thinking how I needed to start recording information about the cigars I have smoked so that I can look back and remember the special sticks or occasions.

I started looking on the internet and found a few "cigar journals" with some neat featuers including a place to save the band ranging in price from $7.00 to $100.00.

Does anyone keep a cigar journal? Please share info on how much you use it, like it, where you got it, that sort of thing.

Hey this thread looks familiar :-) My book is called
"The Hand Made Cigar Collectors Guide." I love it and it fits my needs perfectly. The first 32 pages is a book about cigars. Mostly info that we as smokers already know. But the last 100 pages is a log. The log has places for Brand, Country, Length, Strength, Burn, Flavor, Personal rating, Venue, Description, Ring Guage, Draw, Ash, Price, Thoughts and remeiniscences, and best of all a spot to place the lable. These are pretty much all the things you may want to know about a cigar. I like it because even though I have been smoking cigars for years I just recently got into it seriously. I wanted to know which gars I liked and even though I knew a couple I liked I wanted to try a whole bunch of new ones. My memory is not good enough to remember a cigar I had a couple of months a go so when I smoke a new one I clip the lable think about the catagories and fill them in once I get the chance. You will be suprised at how your tastes and comments get refined after doing this for just a couple of months :-) - Mike
