My buddy got laid off from his new company, the second time it has happened to him in two years. His wife has had to "cut him off" as a consequence... no, no... I didn't mean from the simple pleasures, but from buying any more cigars until he gets back on his feet!

If you want to help a fellow cigar afficiando out, how about dropping him a cigar or two in the mail? I think at this point he'd even appreciate a White Owl or two (LOL!)... Here's his info:

Jack Lucas
23629 Ridgeway
Mission Viejo, CA 92692

Thanks friends! ... and if ya got 'em, smoke 'em!!!

Asking about addy 'cause his post on Misc. board "baseball nuts" has this written by HIM:

"please email me at: [email protected]"

Seems like him and his "buddy" have the SAME NAME???

Something's rotten in Denmark...

Maybe I'm missing something but with a name that starts with "Chitown", I think of MY home...Chicago, not Mission Viejo. Hhmmmm...Just don't know.

Remember in the movie "The Jerk" with Steve Martin? Where he was rich at the end? And folks were trying to hit him up? There was the Texas oil guy who was crying because the leather seats in his private jet were cracking, and he was too embarrassed to fly his friends to the super bowel? So he was beseeching old Steve for a few bux to re-upholster his interior?

Funny, I just checked the white pages for a Jack Lucas in Mission Viejo, and could not find any Jack, John, or even J. Lucas in Mission Viejo.

I smell a rat....or is that crap smell a Lone Wolf!

Hey, I have fiend Too!

Here is the deal. He is a cigar lover too and he is down on his luck. He lost his job, his wife left him, his dog died and his pickup won’t start. He is now unable to buy “premium” cigars regularly. Some of his favorites that he is unable to get right now include: PAM, Bucanero “Full Sail”, ERDM, Olivia”O”-Maduro, LCG Wavells, Mayorga Maduro Torpedo. I am sure I am forgetting some but you get the idea. Send him the “Good Stuff”. He would feel embarrassed if he were to receive all of these packages of premium cigars from strangers so I have an idea. Send them to me and I will deliver them all at once.

Thanks in advance for opening your hearts and humidors to help this poor soul.

THL,
That's a good start to rebuilding his "premium" cigar selection. But will take more a few Ashton’s to make a difference. God Bless you!

Lowman,

Now that's what I am talking about! As I said in my original post I think it is best to send them directly to me. I will take the packages all at once to him so he doesn’t feel embarrassed about the charity. This “care package” should go along way to relieving the Premium Cigar Withdrawal Syndrome (PCWS) he is now experiencing.

Gods Speed to you all

Send Onyx Reserves, Oliva O maddies, PAM, Ashton VSG, AVO's, Partagas Black Labels, CAO Brazilla's (lots of them) and I will distribute to the needy in Mission Viejo!

Charlie

PS If I cannot find any needy in MV, then I will dispose of them!

Charlie- Go start your own charity on another thread - I high-jacked this one.

X - Here in Texas we have the “Death Penalty”. I think Lone Wolf and Bad Frog bombing would constitute “cruel and unusual punishment”.

Scam Alert! Scam Alert!

Yeah, I looked up his address on mapquest. I posted a picture on Picture Post of his neighborhood.

I would think if he is so down and out , he should maybe downsize his house.

If anyone looked in my humidor, they might send cigars out of pity (LOL) but I don't beg, except as a joke.

Man, this is about as low as it gets! Why don't you just come out and say "I want to screw you out of some cigars." I would come closer to sending you some.

Darn, I threw away the moldy Celestino Vegas I had. Sounds like this guy could have really used them. I'd hate to see him have to sell his house just to buy cigars.
