when toby picked the final two in the pool, i received cigars from many many people. (anyone that didn't send me my winnings, you know who you are, watch out for men in black.)

they arrived with some cello on, some cello off.

some of the cigars in the "cello on" group had swelled just enough to prevent them sliding (a thought just synapsed and i dismissed it immediately) out of the cello.

now i will need a scissors to cut the cello to remove the cigar.

any recommendations for scissor type.

In that situation, I use the blade of my Swiss Army cutter to cut the end of the cello, then tear the length of the cigar. This keeps the blade away from the cigar itself avoiding wrapper tear.

Rick,
* If you want to smoke now; follow Mr.Mean's advice.
* If you want to smoke later; decrease the humidity in one of your 'dors for a while (55%?) until you can remove the cello in however which way you desire. The problem with some cello is that it is more than just a sleeve, it sometimes is kinda like saran wrap. I had an old Carlos Torano Exquisito like that.

Rick

Just clip the foot of the cigar (with cello on) like you would if there wasn't any cello and then work it off that way! The blade will cut right thru the cello!

They do have a tendancy to expand in cello for long length of time! "Love you long time"! Wrong movie!

Cello is nice, but I prefer the viola.

Try melting it off with your torch. That will enhance the flavor of some cigars.
