I've not tried the Peg Leg, but I've tried the Buc Classic Maduro churchill and it was simply fantastic.

The Classico Maduro is the mild end of the Bucanero spectrum. This was the first Bucanero I smoked and prompted me to search them out till I have them all in my posession.
Milder, but still incredibly creamy and flavorful. Standard perfect construction and burn with gobs of smoke.

I've only had the Churchill in these. It started out great then got a little bitter at about the mid point. The one I had was under filled. X

Did not care for the Bucanero Classico Maduro. Had a Full Sail tonight and it was very good. Go figure!

One of the best cigars you've ever smoked could be lying right there in the box next to one of the worst. I've experienced this myself.

Couldnt resist and "splurged" and scored some Buc Mad Beli's. (I personally dont spend big $$ for a gar) Many rav's made me do it...

Man I'm I missing something here...!!

Had the draw of a toilet paper roll core..
only "ok" taste..
semi decent burn / ash...

do these need a nap or what.. $160.00 retail or so..?

now I remember why I dont spend >$$ for hype.. JMHO
Give me feedback brothers!!

cayman,

Actually, I agree with you. My experience was pretty much as you described (my first two were plugged, but others were ok). Haven't been sure of why the hype here (I do know that some people here are 'ambassadors' for the brand). I enjoyed the smoke, but couldn't see the high price justification. Smoked more like a $4 smoke, in my book. A nice $4 smoke, but still $4.

The Classico Maddies definitely need a little nap until the ploom forms; then they are very very nice and the taste really comes through.
The Full Sails IMHO rock right out o the box. I'm letting a few of those nap as well to see how they develop. I've not tried the Peg Legs or El Capitan Maduros.

X- yah, saw that..

I also got a couple Churchills along with the Beli's
and gave one a try last night..

WOW! what a TOTALLY different smoke than the Beli..

Nice draw, solid, even ash.. was really disapointed I had a box of Beli's and only 4 of these left.. how could the size make such a HUGE difference.. the Beli
also being the more expensive...

AND THEN... I got bout half way down excited to see how the stick would developed and it happened... got harsh, tar ish, burned uneven, keep going out...

Think this line may have consistancey issues..anyhow, got them for WAY under retail.. so I'll give um a chance in the long term coolerdor or the trades board
while they still have high demand..
