I won a box of the Hoja Nics that were on the Blowout. They're OK (good flavor, great draw, somewhat loosely rolled however). The problem is that they're TOO DARN BIG (Length). If I were to cut this, or any longer smoke for that matter, to a more pleasing size, say 5 inches, how would that alter the experience? I typically like the last 1/3 of the smoke (any smoke). Would this alter the flavor considerably, or would it simply provide me with a shorter smoke, which is what I am trying to achieve. I am concerned that the rollers purposesly roll a longer cigar somewhat more loosly in order to prevent draw problems. If this is true, then cutting a Presidente to a Rothschild would provide a HOT smoke indeed. I do not need any comments regarding how much you like/dislike the HdN's, I am speaking in general terms regarding reduced cigar length. Thanks. Oh, and just for the record... Gore reminds me of a stupid carpenter: "no matter how many times I cut the board, it's still too short...."
