AKA "Continental Navy Jack"
This flag is believed to have flown aboard the Continental Fleet's flagship Alfred, in January, 1776. Commodore Esek Hopkins raised this flag to signal his fleet to attack the enemy. Today, the only US Navy ship authorized to fly this flag is the aircraft carrier, U.S.S. Kitty Hawk.

Notice: Effective 9-11-02, all US Naval ships will fly this flag in lieu of the U.S. Jack to honor the victims of 9-11-01. They will continue to fly this flag until the war on terrorism is won !!!

Thought you all might want to know this...

I remember the motto "Don't Tread on me" and the snake as part of the Drill SGT Badge along with the most famous Motto - This We'll Defend!

I would not mind having one of the babies.
