Quick, without thinking too much or making anything up or trying to impress, list in this order:

1. Cigar you enjoyed the most yesterday. The one you enjoyed the most, not necessarily the most expensive one.

2. Cigar you enjoyed the most last week

3. Cigar you enjoyed the most last year

4. The one you enjoyed the most, ever.

Here are mine:

1. Yesterday. Trilogy maduro.

2. With a memory like mine, this is hard. I think it was a Puros Indios toro maduro that Carlos Diez sent me. That's a good cigar. (or was that TWO weeks ago???)

3. That's an easy one. Had my first Ashton VSG Enchantment last month. It was grrrrrrrrrrrrrreat and after a great meal. (or was that TWO months ago?????)

4. This is a hard one. I think I will give the nod to a PAM sent to me by Xibbumbero, or any cigar with my brother on his patio up in Cincinnati.

5. All time? Maybe a Montecristo #2 one night in Paris. Probably the occasion and the setting as much as the cigar. I am still looking for my all time favorite cigar. Your turn, thanks.

1. Cigar you enjoyed the most yesterday.
Diamond Crown #3 Robusto with a glass of 10 yr port. last night.

2. Cigar you enjoyed the most last week
Fuente Double Chateau Sun grown.

3. Cigar you enjoyed the most last year
Several Cuban Bolivar Double Coronas while my son smoked Cuban Montecristo #4's on deck of our cruise ship in Greece and Italy last year.

4. The one you enjoyed the most, ever so far.
Had to be my first Cuban Bolivar Belicoso Fino, Cabinet selection from the cabinet, the rest of which I am keeping buried and rationing one a month!

5. All time?
I keep hoping for a true rival to cuban cigars from
some other place besides the island south of miami.

Yesterday: La Aroma de Cuba Robusto. Love these little guys.

Last Week: 2yr aged Padron #5000 Maduro. Not a fancy premium, but a great, great smoke.

Last Year: Cuban Trinidad Fundadores. What can I say? Castro used to give these away personally.

All time: Cuban Cohiba Esplendido from 1997. My personal standard for greatness. Sure, I hope it will be toppled by another, greater smoke, but that is a pretty tough one to beat.

Recalling all of that made me drool for cigars. Maybe I'll cancel classes and smoke all day at the bar.

Thanks for the question. Life is better now.

John

Indian Tabac Super Fuerte maddie torp

2. Cigar you enjoyed the most last week

3. Cigar you enjoyed the most last year

Don't know that I've smoked that one yet ... I keep hoping that will be the next one I light up ... but, of those I HAVE already smoked, those that COULD be candidates for this honor that quickly come to mind include a few different:

Habanos, Perdomos, Padrons, Bucaneros, CAOs, and Camachos ...

see how well the others answered? you need to hit the the books and catch up with the rest of the class.

i'll give you extra credit for "works and plays well with others". make it a 70%, but this is the last time.

Yesterday -
Padron 1926 (spent entire casino winnings of just under $55 for 3 1926 #6 natties--side note: I would not buy these unless there are "free"-- aka casino winnings)

Last Week - Opus X #4 from E-chick, Camacho Liberty

Last Year - PAM Imperial with 8 months box age. wowzers!

Ever - not in any particular order:
* My first cigar (a Diamond Crown #4)
* My first OpusX (#2)
* My first Havana (Partagas Super Partagas with so much plume on it I thought somebody was playing a trick on me and dipped it in fine powdered sugar)
* My first PAM
* My first Buc Full Sail
* My first Camacho Liberty (what an incredible smoke--arguably the best ever total corojo puro with Diplomas and 11/18s right behind)
* Every cigar I've smoked on my fishing trips in the middle of nowhere taking in the peacefullness of the wilderness with it's quiet solitude broken only by the chirping of birds and the gurgling of a river or stream.

I have a grandmother named Wisnoskie, I'm glad my Grandfather "did her".

This is going to sound odd, but sometimes you can find a REALLY great smoke where and when you least expect it. I got some free fresh rolled perdomo's when I bought some other cigars. They weren't the torps. They were like a small corona, maybe 5 x 46? or so. Anyway, a couple of those seemed to me to be UNBELIEVABLE! Not all of them. I think sometimes there can be a harmonic convergence between your taste buds, the specific cigar, the age, the moon, hell I don't know. But it was memorable.

Yesterday, I smoked the last of my Carlos III maduros. Sad to see them go.

Last week I had a Helix 550 maduro that was surprisingly good.

Last year and ever converge with a Sancho Panza Beli. These really do it for me.
